Innovative immersive training

The Cruiser connected surfaces platform is providing health care professionals with an immersive education experience about what it's like to live with dementia. The gesture-controlled 10m Cruiser MediaWall enables health care professionals and carers to experience immersive content in a life-size format, bringing in content from a variety of sources for discussion with Alzheimer's Australia Vic staff.  The system also enables an environment for trialling innovative new immersive training software, such as a virtual dementia experience developed by Opaque Multimedia that provides unique insights for carers into the challenges of living with the disease, as part of a research collaboration with Smart Services CRC and Swinburne University of Technology.
